Dr. Michael Likey, formerly known for 30 years as Magic Mike Likey and nowadays as The Mystic Minstrel, and his production company MOONDANCER PRODUCTIONS officially announce the release of his brand-new CD.
The CD’s title-track MISTY MOORS & ANCIENT WISDOM contains a rich tapestry of images, haunting lyrics and melodies creating a series of very enriching experiences for every listener.
The optimistic DREAM #1, BELIEVE IN WHY NOT, LIFE IS BETTER, and ALL IS LOVE harken back to Michael’s 1980’s and ’90’s “Magic Mike” days of Polly Anna-isms, while the deeply personal and pessimistic TIME TO GO could be a note saying goodbye, either to a particular place, or even to his own life!
SNOW WHITE is a thinly-disguised ode to someone, as is FLASHING SMILE, both obviously two different people. THE VOICE with its reflective and introspective subject-matter is the only hint of Likey’s spiritual-side, as compared to his last CD, MOONDANCER, which contained mainly this sort of thing.
MISTY MOORS & ANCIENT WISDOM represents a return for Magic Mike Likey to the mainstream, and we are glad.
